Andrew Dixon serves as Commercial Sales and Tax Assessment Appeals specialist at Dixon Commercial Real Estate, helping his clients maximize value and minimizing their taxes for over 9 years.
His technical skills and computer programming knowledge has helped Dixon Commercial Real Estate become more accurate and efficient while giving them the time to maintain a personal touch in working with their clients.
Recent transactions range from lowering one client’s multi-tenant small office property’s total assessed property value by $700,000, resulting in a tax savings of $31,000 in 2013, to selling a prized piece of land for redevelopment in Coconut Grove.
Andrew graduated cum laude from Florida State University with a Degree in Communications. After returning to Miami he worked for Accord Production’s as a video editor. While enjoyable, he realized that in order to work on the projects he enjoyed, he’d have to follow friends move to either Boston/NY, where it’s far too cold, or LA, where it’s far too “earthquakey.” So he quit and tried out the family business of real estate, which he’d always thought was a funny choice for his father to be in, given he’d chosen to live offshore on a boat throughout Andrew’s whole life.
With that said, t’s no coincidence that Andrew enjoys spending his weekends on the water, taking sailing trips with friends, diving, fishing and recently, spearfishing.
When not out on Biscayne Bay, he also likes trying to smoke the perfect rack of ribs, home-brewing some beer, traveling to foreign lands, and Netflix binge-watching marathons with his beautiful wife, Stacey, and his two dogs, Hannah and Lucy.
Andrew also serves as Treasurer for CIASF.
