Sharon Dresser, Cofounder and International Business Director at High Street Retail USA, represented the landlord in signing Tropical Smoothie Café to a 10-year lease deal for 1,382 square feet at Gateway Plaza at Doral.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe began as a smoothie shop in 1993 and has developed into a restaurant franchise that, in addition to smoothies, now offers sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, The Tropical Smoothie Cafe currently operates more than 300 locations in 34 different states.

Gateway Plaza at Doral, a new 2-building, 84,000-square-foot retail and high-end boutique office center located at 2000 NW 87th Avenue in Doral, at the intersection of NW 21 Terrace and 87th Avenue, is underway, expected to be completed in Spring 2015. The office component of the development totals approximately 43,000 square feet.
“The project has garnered substantial interest from a variety of national tenants,” commented Dresser. “We expect to be announcing additional closings very soon.”
Dresser, pictured right, is marketing the project on behalf of developer DBH Properties, LTD and is a member of the Commercial Industrial Association of South Florida (CIASF).
The project is located smack dab in the center of an area locally referred to as “restaurant row,” home to some of the most profitable restaurant chains in the South Florida market.
Offering excellent visibility along 87th Avenue, the center is conveniently located within 1.5 miles of the Dolphin Expressway (SR 836) and the Palmetto Expressway (SR 826) as well as all major local thoroughfares.
