Mr. Joseph Hatzell, MAI, MRICS, has been associated with Joseph J. Blake and Associates, Inc. since 1989, and holds the position of Partner at the Miami office.
A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Mr. Hatzell has been involved in real estate appraising since the completion of his formal education. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate.
Mr. Hatzell holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute; he also holds the MRICS designation as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Throughout his career, Mr. Hatzell has steadily built an impressive roster of elite clients including large pension funds, banks, savings and loans, institutional investors, development companies, real estate syndicators, REITs and private individuals.
The majority of Mr. Hatzell’s real estate appraisal assignments have been performed throughout the southeastern United States.
A large scope of his assignments include resort hotels, condominium buildings, industrial buildings, regional malls, residential subdivisions, office buildings, shopping centers, traditional and low-income multi-family projects, and vacant land.
As member of the South Florida Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, Mr. Hatzell has served as Education Chair for five years, the board of directors for three years and on the University Relations Committee. He also served on the Advisory Board for Florida International University’s Jerome Bain Real Estate Institute.
