Mike Gomez is President and Co-Owner of The Terracon Group, a South Florida general contracting firm.
In his 27 plus years in the construction industry, Mike has established a reputation for expertise in commercial projects in both the public and private sector including ground up construction, tenant improvements, industrial and institutional projects.
Mike began his career as a an assistant estimator at TGSV Construction in 1988 and entered the private sector in 1996 as an estimator / project manager at DACRA Construction. After his tenure at Dacra Mike served as Senior Estimator at Codina Construction and Chief Estimator at The Tower Group, large South Florida Contracting firms. In 2003 Mike, along with his partner Jerry Sanchez, established The Terracon Group.
Known for providing excellent customer service and taking a team approach to projects, Mike Gomez and The Terracon Group have had the opportunity to work with many of the largest developers and REITs in the South Florida real estate market. Completed projects include corporate headquarters, industrial and office parks, high end tenant improvements, hospital and medical facilities and offices and GMP certified nutri-ceutical and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
Mike received both a bachelors and masters degree in Construction Management from Florida International University and is a graduate of Belen Jesuit Preparatory School.
In his free time Mike enjoys boating, fishing, and spending time with his wife Annette and three children Michael Jr, age 20, Gabriella, age 17 and Nina, age 13.
Mike is actively involved in community service projects like Hope for the Homeless and serves on the advisory board of the Crosswalk Foundation, a group dedicated to servicing impoverished communities in the Dominican Republic.
Mike is currently working with the sponsorship committee for CIASF.
