As companies from across the U.S. and around the world look to enter and expand in the Florida market, one of the State’s most active commercial real estate services firms is growing its tenant advisory practice with the addition of a senior broker.
Miami-based Blanca Commercial Real Estate has added Chris Harak, who will serve as Senior Vice President.
Harak benefits from more than a decade of market expertise, having been involved in transactions with some of Florida’s largest office and industrial users including World Fuel Services, Gibraltar Private Bank, H. Lee Moffit Cancer Research Institute, and International Bonded Couriers, Inc., among others.
Prior to joining Blanca Commercial Real Estate, Harak served as Assistant Director for Savills Studley where he was responsible for business development, strategic planning and transaction management throughout Florida. He was an integral member of a team that consistently ranked among Florida’s top tenant advisory practices specializing in office leasing on behalf of banking and financial services firms, law firms, nonprofit organizations, as well as warehouse, distribution and manufacturing companies.
“As more and more companies look to gain a foothold in Florida and expand their presence here, Blanca Commercial Real Estate is growing our capabilities to further accommodate the firm’s existing clients and the increased activity we anticipate over the coming years,” said Tere Blanca, President and CEO of Blanca Commercial Real Estate. “Chris’ experience advising companies that lease/own office and industrial space, coupled with his wealth of relationships across the State, will make him a valuable asset to our existing clients and will support the consistent growth of our firm’s tenant advisory business.”
Harak joins the firm’s tenant representation practice alongside Senior Vice President Luciana Carvalho, who holds the prestigious “MCR” degree (Masters in Corporate Real Estate) from CoreNet Global and whose multilingual capabilities have further enhanced the firm’s position to serve Miami’s diverse business community.
Harak’s addition to the Blanca Commercial Real Estate team coincides with the firm’s steady growth dating back to its founding in 2009. Since then, the company has emerged as one of the most active commercial real estate services firms in South Florida, having advised clients in the completion of more than 7 million square feet of lease and sales transactions. The firm has represented some of the Miami market’s largest users, including the Miami Herald Media Company, owned by California-based McClatchy Media Company; global law firm White & Case; and most recently, Florida’s largest law firm Akerman LLP.
Harak holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communications from the University of South Florida.
