As demand grows for next-generation Class A industrial space in the Miami-Dade market, Miller Construction Company is building the $10.9 million Transal Logistics Center in Doral for KVRG Developers, an entity that includes local developer Ford Gibson.

The parcels were purchased as part of a 16-acre purchase in May 2013.
Scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter 2014, the 218,000-square-foot complex at 8301-8303 NW 27th Street was designed to maximize efficiency for international trade operations, with 30-foot ceilings, 54 by 50-foot column spacing and T-5 lighting with motion sensors. Miller is constructing Transal Logistics Center’s two reinforced concrete and tilt-wall buildings – the 110,600-square-foot building A and 107,400-square-foot building B. The structures will wrap around a secure 180-foot truck court for easy maneuverability.
“With the PortMiami Tunnel completed and the Deep Dredge project positioning Port of Miami to accommodate post-Panamax ships, we’re seeing strong demand for fast-track construction of new industrial product serving mid-sized and large-space users,” said Miller Senior Vice President Brian Sudduth.
Transal Logistics Center’s location in the Airport/Doral submarket has immediate access to the new 25th Street Viaduct. Once the elevated viaduct sky bridge is completed, the Center’s tenants will have an express route for their cargo freight trucks entering and exiting Miami International Airport. RLC Architects of Boca Raton designed the complex, and Fairchild Partners of Coral Gables is handling leasing.
